As I said, neither of your suggestions addresses the problem of viewing the current selection, and it is critical.

Thanks for trying to help. Unfortunately, both your options don't allow to see the current selection, which could be a subitem in any of 7 menu items.

Do users log-out?
Well, as I do not have Google power behind me, I cannot afford developing Google Docs like system that allows simultaneous editing of a document by multiple users. If you are aware of any 3rd party open source solution to this problem, I will be really grateful.
