i started working as a UI/UX Designer for a quiet large company with a pretty big website.

Since the developers are quiet busy with developing backend functions the resources are limited right now, which makes me wondering if i should start designing good UI even tho they wont be able to change it globally (for example forms, modals etc.) or should i design with the old and bad UI so the users at least feel a bit of consistency till we manage to make an overall redesign?
