People prefer choosing a departure and destination before choosing an airline company
It appears that your interface is reflecting the point of view of the employer not the employee.
Simplifying it goes like this : the employee wants to take some days off and the employer wants to know what type of days off.
Therefore I propose this workflow :
- Browse a calendar and a balance
- Choose the first day of the period
- Maybe choose the last day of the period
- Allocate the days according a dynamic balance with the different types of time off (Only the true balance is helpful here)
- Send a request or inform whomever needs to be informed
Roughly something like that (steps 4 and 5):
