Using javascript prompts Should I use a modal prompt/dialog for user input?

Suppose myFor an application is for a teacher, who has to enter marks obtained in the class test for 60 students,students; what is the best way to get input from himthem to ensure accuracy, speed and user-convenienceconvenience?

One way I proposeMy proposal (which I don't see in many applications today) is to prompt user with a modal, havingwith Student Name/id and an input box. As soon the user presses EnterEnter, the system presents a new dialog to get the marks of next student.

My question is to UI/UX design experts, would it be aIs this good UI/UX design practice?

When user clicks Ok, the next popup is displayed with details of the next student.
