I think StackExchange organizes this information nicely by showing:
- A consistent profile thumbnail/username that is always visible from the header. This is similar to what you have in your design, however, the header extends across the entire page width. I think that provides a natural sense of hierarchy for such a static element—the header is not nested within the navigation but rather the navigation affects the page below the header. It's a subtle difference, but I think it could help provide some better balance. You could left-align "BetaHub" and right-align your profile management to make up your static header.
- A profile page that emphasizes the users' profile with a larger version of the profile picture with your additional profile options/information. Similar to your design, their profile page includes tabs at the top of the profile page as well. I think following that general layout will allow your profile page to be visually distinctive from your games pages.
Yes, their pages do not have a side navigation like yours does, but in this case, I think it should still be just as clear. Below is a mockup of what I'm suggesting:
