I'm building a WordPress-based website where users will create an account from their Facebook account.

Users will be able to post and comment but I'd like to offer the option for anonymous publishing/commenting as well for these users (like Quora).

Would it be enough to create user metas and the associated UI? Is this safe? I'm concerned that the users could be exposed somehow.

This question appears to be off-topic. The users who voted to close gave this specific reason:

  • "Questions about Implementation are off-topic because this site is for User Experience design questions, not questions around how to implement these designs. Therefore, questions around the use of programs like Photoshop or languages such as CSS or JavaScript are off topic." – Dave Haigh, Evil Closet Monkey, JohnGB

  • If you want to have anonymous users like Quora, you should be aware that anonymous users cause huge headaches for Quora and are among the most frequent complaints about the site. – Eric Stoltz Dec 18 '15 at 22:24
  • I think it's more a programming related question than a UX question – Marco Acierno Apr 29 '16 at 14:53
  • When you create the post couldn't you just not populate it with user data? – DasBeasto Apr 29 '16 at 15:21
