what is the best way for a user to securely share from a public device & app (kiosk-like), instead of just emailing to themselves under an anonymous user account? I need some UX advice and possible inspiration of others who do this. Would this be an API issue? I don't want to scare my users away when asked to log in, in order to share the content on their personal social media from the public app & device.

  • Are you talking about sharing information to others, or basically saving information for later personal use? Do you have a specific use case? – Ben Brocka Jan 9 '15 at 20:42
  • If a user, we will call her Melanie, is using this public app for a beauty company, and she wants to share a product found via public app to her FB, twitter, etc. is there a way to quickly log her personal social media acct to the public device safely and securely? – Dudley Wright Jan 9 '15 at 20:45
  • Most public API's utilize email as a primary way to allow the current user to share to themselves for remembering or 'bookmarking' content for later; I'm looking into other ways to share content to other social platforms, problem is the app will be on a public device. – Dudley Wright Jan 9 '15 at 20:47
