(I'm not native English speaker, sorry for my broken sentence) We design software for financial trading. The wording of the functions used by traders includes "absolute change" and "relative change". These words sound rigid to me. Is there any way to rephrase these words in a way that is easier to understand?

absolute change → direct input · directly enter · type directly. relative change → ???

"The wording...used by traders...sound rigid to me." You indicate the traders are familiar with those phrases—serious question—why change? Do you have reason to believe it would improve the traders' UX? Dec 12, 2022 at 7:32
  • I agree with @bloodyKnuckles, if this is common terminology among your users then you shouldn't mess with that - They will read that and understand it quicker than anything else you could come up with purely because they're immersed in it all day every day. Dec 12, 2022 at 12:19
