For a few months now, I've been noticing that I see more and more web applications that no longer place the avatar and username of the current session in the top right corner, but in the bottom left corner of the viewport.
Example:
Other web apps: https://intercom.com, https://twitter.com
Until now, it seemed to me that the "standard" location for this type of element is at the top right.
Questions:
- Are you also seeing a trend towards this bottom left location choice?
- Is this a real trend? If so, do you have any idea when this trend started?
- Do you have any idea of the reasons for this choice of location?
