Aug 27, 2015 at 19:44 comment added alexw Apparently this is the most popular answer by far at this point, but I still don't understand how it emphasizes anything to the user.
Aug 26, 2015 at 8:47 comment added A.L @Kevin is this convention documented? I mean, users are encouraged to back up their arguments with links, this answer seems to be only a personal opinion. Modal window are also used to show images, they doesn't always imply an action.
Aug 25, 2015 at 23:15 comment added Kevin @A.L A modal window, by convention, only appears to show the user views needed to continue in an incomplete task. This is a convention used so often that most users will understand it implicitly.
Aug 25, 2015 at 20:20 comment added Thomas Weller @bjb568: And if I order 100 items of anything, I don't want them listed one by one, but hey, that's probably a mockup only. Nobody would use that as is, right? (Give it a developer and he'll implement it like that :-)
Aug 25, 2015 at 8:15 comment added A.L I don't understand this answer, why the modal is more explicit than a full page presented in the question? The Return to the Cart implies that this action is not needed, and as Dirk v B suggested, the red button looks like an delete button.

Aug 23, 2015 at 23:33 comment added Dirk v B I'd use green for the button though, so it seems more like a "confirm". You could even add a tick or some other icon.
Aug 23, 2015 at 23:03 comment added UXerUIer To add to @JonW's comment, the reason why we need to explain what we're doing is because that's what UX is all about. There is a reason why we're designing what we're designing!
