Synonym for 'GUI' for non-technical people? Most users are only exposed to graphical interfaces, so there's no need to differentiate it from commandline or text based. |

Applying elements of Mark Rothko's multiform paintings to data entry form design Would elements that are a little more concrete like proportion be a benefit. |

Applying elements of Mark Rothko's multiform paintings to data entry form design Interesting point. I never considered the impact of the size of the original paintings. |

Why “x seconds to download”, and “if not ready, click here to download”? What if you were dynamically creating a file and under heavy usage may take x seconds to build? |

What reason could Nintendo have had for putting the A and B buttons the wrong way round? The position of the hand on an xbox controller doesn't put either A or B closer to the thumb. The square controller like an iphone requires more thumb flexing and extending to reach inner buttons. |

Computer login with password only, without username Why not just list all the users with a password box next to each name? Enter password and click login. This may lose a level of security, but this could be in some sort of "family" mode. |

Is it good practice to force users to give us their email address before showing them our site? Wouldn't wine purchasers assume the stock would change often? |

Is it good to limit the user to a set number of selectable font / background colors? I would agree with this if offering the full color pallette wasn't the default. If you have to go out of your way to limit the choices, why offer a choice at all when there is little value? |
