Seeking suggestions for faceted navigation You know, I'm getting tired of these damn question Nazi's closing questions for crap reasons. There are several HUNDRED other questions exactly like mine that are still open. Why did you choose to close mine>? Don't hide behind your stupid aliases, EXPLAIN YOUR REASONING. |

Using JQuery DataTables to display many columns Yes, Sara, I've seen that post, too. |

Best way to display more table columns than I have room for? @Ben Brocka - I'm not seeing what you described as pop out options. Can you tell me where they are? I'm facing the same issue and need to figure out a solution. I'm currently using an accordion that shows the main info for each row and then each row in the accordion showing only the relevant columns. However, we are needing to allow filtering and sorting on this data, too. |

Using JQuery DataTables to display many columns The users aren't really trying to do anything, We present a list of documents in their archive and the first column has a link to open the document. The sorting should be able to be done on any column. We do have a lot of different document types. |

Using JQuery DataTables to display many columns It's not so much that the USER needs to see the columns, it really depends on which DOCUMENTS the user has in their archive. Look at this as a sort of tuple table. They should see all the columns required based on the document in the row that is why all those columns were shown in the original design (WebParts). |

Why is it impossible to deselect HTML “radio” inputs? that’s how it’s done on paper forms...Yes and usually if paper forms have many options, they also include a NONE option. On the web, checkboxes would not be the best option here, radio buttons with a none option would be the optimal solution. |

Recomendation for choosing a start date / month No, I didn't develop it. I found it while looking for a date range selector that I posted in the comment below. |

What controls to fix this Filter? The user comments are that they are unwieldy and not easy to use, especially the Programs selector accordion at the bottom. |

Recomendation for choosing a start date / month Allows yo to only select Month and/or Year, that is what you wanted, correct? All you have to do is format the result with the first day of the selected month. |

Recomendation for choosing a start date / month Not necessarily, you can configure the selection criteria and have it return the same date for both the start and end. I like it because I can customize the criteria that I show to the user for their selection. |
