How to “force” users to upgrade their browser? @pMan - won't work on a mobile device. This approach seems to assume a desktop. |

How to “force” users to upgrade their browser? I think that given the spread of mobile devices, any message that assumes the user is on a desktop, e.g. "please click to download one of these browsers" is problematic. |

Would intentionally slowing down UI help to increase sales on shopping sites? By "iTunes store is always slow", and by "slowing down UI" in your hypothesis, what do you actually mean? Pages take longer than you'd expect to complete loading, or there's a delay between clicking a button and anything happening, for example? |

Why show the global menus only on mouseover in Ubuntu Unity? Keyboard? Isn't the interface designed for use on both tablets and PCs? |

How common is the phrase “context sensitive” outside of the computer science realm? Are you saying the tool tip text changes or not? |

Stamping the current date & time on a page Looks like the site has changed, as I can't see any time and date on pages. |

Is my suspicion correct, that QR codes will be a short-lived standard with little effect? Seems that this question is really about QR code use by consumers using smartphones, not the established use in warehousing/inventory tracking etc which has quite different use cases. Perhaps the question should be changed to clarify this. |

How To Display Too Much Data Deserves more upvotes. If all the data is genuinely needed all the time -- and Jason's reponses to other options seem clear on this -- then making the display bigger is the only option. It sounds like a financial markets app, and if it is, then multimonitor setups are very common. |

Does “ink is expensive” apply in a user interface context? Changed 'user experience' => 'user interface' in question headline. UI is the term used twice in the body text. |

Does “ink is expensive” apply in a user interface context? Ink isn't expensive though - would this be better phrased as "treat ink as expensive"? |
