Non-Archaic Symbol for “Save” Agreed that it's related, but not a dupe. I'm looking for an alternative, and the linked question just talks about the idiom. |

Selecting a Range of Letters on a Mobile Also, to clarify again, this is for the options screen -- some users only want to see a subset of the entire language alphabet. So it's not really counter-intuitive. When teaching kids a foreign alphabet, it's easier to start a few letters at a time. |

Selecting a Range of Letters on a Mobile I really like how you avoided the notch problem, I didn't realize that before. Arabic has 28 letters, so it's pretty hard to squeeze. I will probably combine this with @RogerAttril's solution for general navigation. |

Selecting a Range of Letters on a Mobile +1 nice, I actually like this solution a lot. I may combine this with @JonW's idea, since he's right that slider notches, etc. are tricky. |

Selecting a Range of Letters on a Mobile Just to clarify, it's not about regional settings. The game audio, menus, text, etc. are all English; it's about teaching Arabic alphabets. |

Animation on Handheld: How Much is Too Much? @BenBrocka I don't have any intentions to use animated GIFs, but thanks for the tip. |

Animation on Handheld: How Much is Too Much? +1 good call: "If it's needed, use it, otherwise dump it if it's annoying." |

Tooltips for Icons/Buttons Why the DVs? How is this not a good usability question? |

Tooltips for Icons/Buttons Ah, that lack of hovering keeps biting me. Anyway, maybe you can explain a bit more why you don't think it's a good idea, as this question is general. |

Tooltips for Icons/Buttons Sorry, I guess I didn't make it clear that this is a non-HTML question. This is a general question about using tooltips. |

Alternative to “Hover For More Information” Controls @VitalyMijirtsky yes, I know. Having said that the question is a question, this icon will suffice for the time being. |

Alternative to “Hover For More Information” Controls it's like a quiz. You can flip through any of, say, ten questions, pick whatever answer you want, and at the end, signal that you're done. |

Alternative to “Hover For More Information” Controls Why is there an arrow pointing left? Also, it doesn't convey "more information" like the info icon I have above; substituting that for the arrow would make it non-obvious what this thing is sticking out of the RHS of my app, no? |

Alternative to “Hover For More Information” Controls okay, no worries then, my imagination will probably suffice :) |

Icon/Symbol to Represent “Done”? @ChrisMorgan (perceived) lack of real-estate. I'm okay with a small amount of learning on top of decent icons. |

Icon/Symbol to Represent “Done”? Take a look at the "after" screenshot; is that what you meant? |
