Are there any references for useful forum categories? Wouldn't this question be better suited on User Experience? |

Which way should be “on” for a switch? if the button reads "do not press", why is the button there in the first place? |

What is the best way to represent the difficulty level in a children's game? basically it also says, if your kid fails ... your kid gets squished by a rock... the second image kind of fails to deliver the message. does it mean I need 8 friends to play the game? |

Website redesign how do you know how to organize the navigation structure? even more so when the analytics/seo dude joins the fun after everyone's brainpower went into UX and says "nonono. that information is useless there. we need link XYZ in the main navigation for SEO reasons". after all if you are not found, nobody will ever see that nice piece of UX navigation ... ;) |

Add to Cart to View Price i really fail to see how this could possibly increase sales. i would simply NOT add an otem to my cart or even worse go to the checkout page just to see a price. especially if its an ecommerce site i shop infrequently. |

Signing up for a site. Finishing progress after step 1 of 4. What/How to indicate? yes, we do that. but each account is tied to a publicly viewable page that only displays the avatars... much like a shopping wall (or amazon's window shopping app) ... |

Signing up for a site. Finishing progress after step 1 of 4. What/How to indicate? point taken, imagine a ebay listing. sure, we can show a default avatar if the user skips the avatar upload, but the whole point of the site is to market the avatar image (much like ebay for instance). |

Signing up for a site. Finishing progress after step 1 of 4. What/How to indicate? let's assume my site is an online chat, where the main functionality is that the chatroom is filled with avatar profiles. No names, usernames, or other identifiable information is shown. We really dislike the option of going Gravatar-Style for uncompleted user profiles, but I assume this is the way to go then... We'll try that and A/B-test it ... I'll let you know how it worked out ... |
