Creating an emotional bond with the user on a business site @silvinci: Sure, but it also depends on who your customers are. This ISV viva64.com/en uses a vomiting unicorn on its logo and gets away with this because its customers are hardcore software developers. Not really sure this would work for an investment bank. Meanwhile both are real and quite serious businesses. |

When there's inactivity…should we prompt the user for action? +1 Yeap. I'll just add that to me the major difference between a Bosch washing machine UX and an LG microwave UX is that in Bosch washer that nagging sound can be turned off but it can't in an LG microwave. This is one of the reasons why I got myself a purely mechanical control microwave - single "ding" at the end of heating and then silent. I'm going to so much details just because it really makes a difference. |

Do “extended” batteries really affect user experience? @JonW: Yeap, +100% is clear, but such batteries don't fit under standard cover and so the phone becomes much thicker. |

Do “extended” batteries really affect user experience? @Urbycoz: Also true, but with just +9% capacity the extended one will reach the "recharge me twice per day" state pretty soon. |

Do “extended” batteries really affect user experience? @JonW: Yes, this scenario is valid, but what are the chances that your trip has exactly the duration that the standard battery is drained but the +9% extended one is not? |

How useful is this coffee cup “hot contents” warning? @JonW: Another lawsuit waiting to happen. What if we create a StackExchange for assessing lawsuit ideas? |
