comment User behavior that caught you off guard?
Shouldn't be a surprise. Developers often tell users to okay dangerous security dialogs.
comment Should password dialog be in a pop-up or an existing window?
Thunderbird at least shows me a list of messages before logging in. I can't think of ever using a mail client that has not. Thunderbird also shows the sovereign window if you haven't set up any accounts.
comment What is an acceptable response time for my ajax ui?
Good luck getting an AJAX operation done within 100ms.
comment What is an acceptable response time for my ajax ui?
So, 10 seconds is when you know you have total failure. I've seen a four second limit for page switches for some years now.
comment Must-read User Interface Book?
And his later books, where he changes his mind on some things.
