When exactly is a CAPTCHA system a good idea? Not really an answer, but its a good idea as it helps to translate books youtube.com/watch?v=cQl6jUjFjp4 :D |

Instant field validation @JohnGB they can, but I prefer the method of validating individual fields after losing focus and validating the whole form on submit. It would still all be client side so there would be no page refresh. I just think validating after a pause will puzzle slow typing users |

A Web Enabled Desktop App "'the cloud' or, as I like to call it, 'the internet'" Its good to hear people calling it by its proper name instead of this word that has been thought up to entice MD's sat in first class reading a magazine. |

Instant field validation I disagree with validating after a pause in data entry. Could be the user is just thinking. Better just on focus change or form submission |

Uploading CSV/Excel data, present mapping functionality or download the schema? We use #1 at our company almost exclusively. We combine our imports with exports that follow the same layout. the idea being a user can download their data into an xls, edit it, then re-import it. Works at treat. We also have error checking for mis-matched columns |

White text on black background I second this, you'll often find that developers use dark schemes when coding to reduce eye strain. black on white has me seeing stars after 20min. |
