The only answer to feature creep is to respond "It will cost more/It will delay the delivery". One of these should make them decide. If not, you have a gravy train that you never need to finish.....

comment Dashed underline on required fields
@dotmartin - the language is important, because it might be that Swedish (sorry - the tags looked dutch, but hte heading is definately more swedish) speakers are used to seeing words underlined in dashes and so can cope. The cultural context is critical, which is why the principles are so important. So, make it conversational, make it friendly, and make it clear. What that actually means in a particular context may be very different from what it means in another context.

comment Ecommerce checkout: Importance of order summary?
I would put it even stronger, that if it is changing by what you are adding - like shipping location - then it should be updated or at least the changes made clear. As a customer I want to know the implications of what I am doing. It really annoys me whe I cannot see how much I am spending until I am largely committed.

comment Does the Zendesk.com website offer a good ux? And why?
@MarjanVenema - My machine is not particualarly speedy, but it is fine for me. I have definately seem far worse. Sorry you experience problems, but my point is that if you are going to do things like that, they should be smooth.

comment Language switch redirect to homepage or content page
I think we are agreeing actually. My experience points in one direction, but your specific site and user base may be different. So design for them!
