Is the Windows Start button an example of poor mapping? For first use of a new computer it makes a lot of sense. From that point onwards, it doesn't, but by then, you know what you are doing. So it makes sense, actually, although it is odd. |

How to give feedback to users that the site is processing? Better! It wasn't a problem with your answer, just my eyes were getting painful. |

How should I Redirect/Handoff users to a 3rd party site? As a rule, keeping the 3rd party site branded the same is good, even if they then have their own ( smaller ) branding. It gives customers a sense of security. Alternately, giving users a list of options, so they choose to go to another site. |

Should aspects such as page render time or time taken to retrieve results be considered part of UX? I was trying to point out that it is not just the early design stages that can affect the performance, but the UX people need to be involved in performance monitoring right through the process. And it is not just about page design, but also what is expected of the page. Performance needs involvement right through the development cycle. And UX needs to be involved in performance right through. |

Why do Juice cartons fail on opening? @BennySkogberg some do, but they often want better quality juice to, and so pay the extra 10% for better juice AND better opening. On the budget end, this is not cost-justifiable. |

How do you A/B test a ranking algorithm? But that is also my point, that you need to know what is important in the ranking for you. Why are you ranking them? What is your criteria for identifying a successfull process. Them we can help you to find out how to record this. |
