comment Why web-safe colors only?
It is not what I understand by dithering, but you are probably right.

comment Are these religious icons clear enough without supplementary labels?
Is it an improvement, but my other points are still valid. I don't know if the writing on the book would be considered offensive to Mormons.

comment Tabbed browsing. Why close the application on closing the last tab?
Which is what I mean by it not necessarily being right. I think it isn't, but there are more issues around this where a new acceptable style of tabbed MDI is needed.

comment Fixed height web pages and e-learning
OK, point made, and I think you have a very good point in this. However, the other side is that if the interactions cannot be squeezed into the space you have, might they not be too complex? But I think you have a very valid point here, and one that you may need to make more loudly - and make sure people know that you have understood my point about ensuring that the content is presented as the provider expects.

comment Does “ink is expensive” apply in a user interface context?
I agree - I was just struggling for the right word. The principles are the same however - if it is not needed to convey information, it should not be there. And, of course, the paper also expresses information, by the lack of ink on it. So every pixel is precious.
