Auto capitalization of name input fields Do you also think that this should be applied consistently to all platforms? My question resulted from a user interface my team and I were building for an iPhone app. The iOS contacts app has auto capitalization enabled for name fields so we followed suit to keep system experience consistent. IMHO I prefer my last name (du Plessis) to be capitalized to "Du Plessis" automatically just because the frictionless input on mobile is more important to me than it being displayed all lower case or "Du plessis". This is only my preference though |
