comment Can text shadow enhance readability?
@MattObee One particular instance of that I (unfortunately) come across every now and then is needing to put light text on to a completely mid grey bg (#808080) where no colour will get the required contrast to meet the guidelines. http://snook.ca/technical/colour_contrast/colour.html#fg=FFFFFF,bg=808080

comment Best visualization for combinations
Check out the d3.js examples for inspiration - maybe something like the Force Directed Graph, Node Link Tree, Sunburst, Cluster layout. There's examples such as the Hierarchical Classification Tree, and the Tree of Life which might be relevant

comment Are there any case studies which provess that Re-design of existing Website helped to get more traffic and business significantly ?
Yes there are case studies (a simple google search will find many) and for both reasons (and more besides), but this question seems rather broad and also more about marketing than user experience specifically? Also 'redesign' is a vague term. It could mean starting from scratch or modifying a shopping cart, or adding new functionality. Is there a particular UX topic you're trying to explore here?

comment Users stating that the redesign is too bright?
@DA01 This is an interesting question: Could I save printer's ink/toner by changing the font?

@DA01 well there is more font smoothing going on in a serif font, resulting in an overall lighter effect, even if the actual font colour is the same. Plus there may just be less pixels covered.

@samgak As a side-note: Do you need all the controls displayed all the time. You could have quick access to each type of control (tab style), but only one of them actually active at any one time with the slider or whatever other controls you have for the current effect. That's not to say you can't show what values all the other effects currently have - you just don't need to clutter the screen with all the actual controls at once.
