I've been writing programs since I was 7 (Logo at first), though mostly in QBASIC for the first decade or so :). Now I am a serious programmer at a great little software company, where I do full stack web development, though my true love is front end.

'Liking' Sensitive Events on Social Media: Contextual Icons and Words for Approval/Agreement How about "support" with a simple up arrow? If you think about it, SE have a similar thing going on in that you might upvote something that you don't "like", e.g. the best answer to "Why shouldn't I do XYZ" might be a long list of negatives about XYZ. An upvote doesn't mean you like those negatives. |

Changing a White Background to…? A huge amount of the internet has a white background -- most news sites, Google, Facebook, on and on... not to mention applications like most email apps, word processors, etc. I'd imagine if the user has their monitor set to blinding bright it's cause they like it (or maybe even need it for some kind of sight deficiency). |

Are HTTP error codes user-friendly? :) I believe it does for various HTTP errors. I was unable to quickly come up with one so I just tried connecting to something that doesn't exist. So I cheated, but the styling is the same. |

Which do users like more as of now, 'Flat Design' or 'Skeuomorphic'? You should add a date to your question "Which do users like more as of early 2013, 'Flat Design' or 'Skeuomorphic'?" -- the answer can only be valid for a short period of time by it's very nature. |

Dashboard comparing current stats with a week ago — which week? My biggest problem with "this week" is that it won't be a full week. So on Monday you'll see only one day of data, and by Friday you'll see five days, only to reset on Monday. This makes it hard to compare the values to your memory. Also it makes it hard to compare this week to last week for the "change by territory vs previous week" type display. |

Dashboard comparing current stats with a week ago — which week? I made a clarification "We want to show the most recent stats possible so that rules out #2. We want to show a full week so that they can compare it to previous weeks. To me this mean that we want to use #3." |

Is it odd to display search results in a modal window? What happens with the search results? Do you click on links in the results to move elsewhere? Do you copy an ID number or something to paste into some field on the screen? |

Infinite scroll alternatives There has been some debate on this recently danwin.com/2013/01/infinite-scroll-fail-etsy but in the end it just depends on specifics |

Enterprise UI standards Instead of PowerPoint a Word Doc with a proper table of contents and plenty of prose to explain things beyond screenshots is probably preferable. |

Sliders without inputs - terrible idea? I agree -- this might be good for 90% of the time, but for that 10% you need an exact value (a specific number of frames) this fails totally. |

Best way to handle permissions editing towards multiple objects i don't know... i'm new here :) However, if you took some time to mock up a straw man (that you know won't work but is some of the way there) it might make this question less daunting to potential answerers (answerees?) |

Best way to handle permissions editing towards multiple objects as to the tag, I don't think this is specifically a permissions problem -- the same UI/UX issues would arise if you had a different small set of properties (living/dead? valid/invalid? approved/denied? etc) you were managing. |
