What is the best diagram tool? @Marian, so you'd never use anything free or open-source? For what it's worth, I've been using Visual Thought for more than a decade without problems. (I don't know what else the company did, what their business model was, whether they were just unlucky in the dot-com crash, or what.) |

What would be the best layout width when traffic monitor sizes are mostly 1280 x 1024? Any width you or your clients choose is wrong for somebody -- cell phone, tablet, netbook, someone with poor vision who has to jack up the fonts, etc. So I encourage you both to think about how the site can be adaptable, at which point the client can look at it in all its 1280px-wide glory while the guy with a tablet isn't left facing a horizontal scroll bar. |
