I work as a consultant through various IT Companies contracted out to large corporations (VeriSign,Sun, DST, Intel..) or some department/branch of the State of California. Titles have included: UI Developer, UI Designer, UX Designer, 508 Systems Analyst, Web Designer, Usability Analyst, Functional Analyst... you get the drift. Currently I'm a contracted Sr UX Analyst at Piehead.
