comment UX design document for Web platform Grid control
Are you referring to guidelines for any web-based data grid? Is there something you're looking for in particular?

comment Is it good UX that in Windows 7 & 8 the “windows” of the same application are automatically grouped into one button?
@lesderid While I did miss that, I definitely still think it deserves mentioning :)

There's another "workaround" which doesn't combine the buttons and also doesn't hide the window labels. You just need to go to Taskbar properties in Windows 7+, find the "Taskbar buttons" drop down and select "Never combine".

comment Loading Times / Breaking points
I think that's what chester was referring to in his question when he mentioned there is a general rule of thumb for waiting for content. This is the only applicable rule I've been able to find though.

comment Drop down values: Percent complete. Not sure which format is best
@user15921 So the items themselves cannot have any value like 1.25% complete, correct? But the overall completion of a checklist is a calculated value so it could end up being something like 35.6%, correct?

comment Is only having a single unmasked password field (no confirm) on a registration page a bad idea?
@JonW Yeah that's not what I got out of the original question. As you've updated it, it's not a dupe anymore for sure.

comment Drop down values: Percent complete. Not sure which format is best
Is the user able to enter any arbitrary value for a percentage of completion on a checklist item? Or is it a set of values as well?
