Why is it that all caps text looks like SHOUTING, but all caps handwriting is easier to read? @ced The comic thing might merely be tradition, or perhaps it's easier for them to write legibly that way. This doesn't necessarily mean that upper-case handwriting is inherently easier to read. |

Are spam bots actually better than real users at solving captcha codes? I've had a lot of luck using honey pots and pretending the post goes through. After a few months it's caught 100% of my spam and no real posts. |

Is it appropriate to use the title attribute in a menu link? @BenBrocka After playing with the linked site again, you're absolutely right. It's kind of annoying if you are reading through the list of menu items trying to make a choice and all of a sudden it pops up. |

How to show password reset option I would add that moving the "forgot password" link up so that it's directly below the password field might help even more, because the two related things would be tied visually. |

Should double click be avoided in web applications? I do not see how AJAX might change how people expect to click on buttons and links online. It has more to do with what happens after a user clicks. I stand by my statement, and only used Nielsen as a way to back up my opinion. Of course every UX question is going to be answered with "it depends," but that shouldn't stop us from creating best practices. |
