Chris whilst I agree that it is common to use a comma for when sending emails and excel, those behaviours differ from typical mobile usage.

We only have a value, e.g. $1.00 and either an up arrow and a down arrow, depending if the price has increased or decreased. If I insert an = sign, this is saying = to what?

Thanks Jon W, yes it is helpful in someways. The accepted answer to that questions poses whether our visitors need (expect) the same experience from full website to mobile website and the answer is "Yes" for my website.

We have a very unique situation where the minimum number of columns (or record fields) are quite long. Great example JeffH and the type of information are very pertinent to our issue.
