A man with far too many questions trying to work out how the world works.
My primary interests are in UX and education as a whole - specifically in finding ways of improving or remaking the education system so that it is still appropriate to the world we will live in at the time that students graduate.

Should login button on a website be disabled if user hasn't entered values? @David dan1111's answer is as good as I could have given. |

Best date formatting for post times on forums as far as UX is concerned? @Anonymous I'm not disagreeing with that. I'm saying that if you give a time and not just a date, there is not benefit of reducing the time precision. In general I think that just a date would be fine for most situations. |

Set operations on two search result sets Hi Nick, and welcome to UX.SE. As it stands now your question is a poor fit for this site as it doesn't pose a specific UX problem. You're sating you entire problem and then asking for solution suggestions without showing what specific UX problem you are trying to solve. |

Best date formatting for post times on forums as far as UX is concerned? @dbkk If you include the time at all, it makes sense to include minutes, otherwise you give misinformation. If you were to show it as 17:00 or 17:30, it implies that it is the exact time, and you don't gain anything by reducing the granularity. If you feel that only the date is relevant, then by all means leave the time out, but reporting an inaccurate time gains nothing and loses a lot. |

“We use cookies” notice on websites @DvirAdler That is already in most sites TOS. If we need to explicitly warn about every part of the TOS, we will hurt UX even more and simply push people towards sites in countries that don't do that. |

“We use cookies” notice on websites This isn't a trend as much a legal compliance. There is close to unanimous agreement that it's silly, but a few politicians think that it's better to annoy everyone on every site than it is to ask a few paranoid people to change their browser settings. |
