Why does iOS (iPhone) flip to show the home screen when installing apps? I didn't realize that this was changing in iOS 6. Hot damn... this is one of my biggest pet peeves about the current app installation process. |

Showing ASC/DESC icons intuitively As a user myself, I hate the asc/desc up/down arrows myself... I never remember which is supposed to represent which, so I just end up clicking column headings until the sort is the way I intended... this gets exceptions problematic, though, when combined with multi-sort ("first sort by column B, desc, then by column A, asc", etc.) |

Do spinner-based date pickers on iOS & Android detract from the user's experience? Thanks for the links, and thanks for pointing me to the the alternate views of UIDatePicker and Android's CalendarView... these are both new to me! Awesome answer. |

Do spinner-based date pickers on iOS & Android detract from the user's experience? @alord1689 If this is 'common sense' (which I tend to agree with), why is there no native control for a calendar-based date picker on iOS or Android? Seems like there should be one. |
