comment List of non-confusable characters
In UX you have to base your decision on experience and common sense when data is not available. It's nice when you have data, but it's usually expensive.

comment How can I show an additional replace option but not clutter the interface?
I have an idea, but untested: use keywords in search field like "replace 'keyword' with 'keyword 2'". Needs a little education before using, but the interface remains light for those who don't use the feature.

comment Benefit of custom 404 error screens on website
@cimmanon i agree that error pages can improve your visitors' experience - there's no doubt about that. My only issue was with the statement that the custom error pages improve security. Which is not true.

comment What is the best way to hide a Honeypot Captcha?
Well, to be honest, it's not really a UX question in the first place. There's no UX to a element user does not see. The answer is based on my personal experience and worked most of the cases. Also demands the least amount of effort.

saying it doesn't make it true. custom 404 pages don't help security in any way. UX yes, security no.

there's nowhere saying in the article that custom 404 pages improve security.

"user friendly captcha" is an oxymoron.
