Icons for Like/Dislike/Regular Thank you on this. I'm actually going for faces which represent feelings better and, now that u mention it, should help me stay cool to those middle east and south american folks :). |

Icons for Like/Dislike/Regular I read that link on the previous question and I understand your point but that is precisely what I wanna avoid. I wanna know that users know some real-life object and think is regular. Not having the data could either mean that he thinks it's regular or that he just doesn't know the object. Like/Dislike just quite doesn't cut it for this scenario. |

Multiple ways to show approval for an item Let's take youtube example's again. You can have a reallllyyyy baaaaaaadd video and favorite it. You didn't favorite it for liking it, au contraire (although that makes a little bit less sence in stack overflow) so that would be a reason for one single user to still be able to like/dislike a video even after he favorited-it :p. |

How Many Clicks for Given Action? As stated in my question I agree that the less the better :). My question was if there are any resources that point to studies or anything regarding the subjects. Such as how many clicks does it take for a common user to enter a site, try and find what he's looking for, give up and leave. I'm pretty sure there gotta be articles about it :). |
