Why is resizing the browser window bad practice? Just think about it. Would you like your current window to be resized randomly while surfing the net? Probably no. It is probably not that bad when opening a new window, and then resizing it, for example for sharing links via twitter or facebook. But never the currently used window. |

How exactly does good usability cut development time? Why it may be true, that good user interface design would require more development time, but then again other non coding activites make this too, like testing, documenting etc. I think that building a (consumer) product with bad user interface eventually leads to a bad product sales and wasted time on development. So in the end by spending less time on the ui design you will spend more time on development. |

Is my suspicion correct, that QR codes will be a short-lived standard with little effect? I think it isn't as much data needed. For example for a disposable liquid used in a hospital you would need expiration date, identification of the product and one or two other relevent data. This is more reliable than OCR (think about different light conditions, contaminations etc.). While I can't go into details one of the projects I'm now involved with builds on using QR codes.. |
