I'm now working for a group out of Plano, doing primarily front-end work for mobile and online banking for credit unions. Time for me to get involved in the local user groups!

You probably want to gmail me if you need me directly. If I have to tell you what gmail address to guess at, you're not trying hard enough.

How do you deal with very long dropdown values? Interesting. I need to learn these bits of lingo :D |

How do you deal with very long dropdown values? Just a point of clarification, I believe the first line should be "as wide as the widest value"? |

Should the space between the checkbox and label be clickable? @thomasrutter thanks for making the same point I made in an answer 8 hours before you ;-) |

Should the space between the checkbox and label be clickable? So that's supposed to change in HTML5? Interesting. |

Is there a name for a control which allows a user to add/remove table rows? No, this is two controls that appear together on one panel. |

inspiration for thin interfaces @jojo perhaps he meant "we can hear multiple things at one time and pick out the bits and pieces we want, but when reading we can only work sequentially". Much as how you can listen to a news broadcast and a sports broadcast, and walk away with most of the details from both (the parts you found pertinent anyways). |

Files size units: “KiB” vs “KB” vs “KB” It's not really a concensus so much as an official standard ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kibibyte |

Undo History - Why limit it? Fortunately everything I write gets to live in someone else's stack so I no longer have to worry about such things. Ah the fortunes of web development. |

Undo History - Why limit it? No, that's not it. They capture every few seconds, not every single action that you make. Do you only do UI work or do you also code? |

Don't hide or disable menu items? What I want to know is "what about hiding items that can't be used" |

Control to select (not open) a file on windows @Charles, how do you figure? a) it's longer than a comment, b) he's asking about the control to pick a file, and I'm saying that it's a native "OS" element, and c) when I put this up the question was brand new. I'm going to bite my tongue now. Additionally, there was a moderator not two posts above my last one. If it was truly a comment masquerading as an answer, flag it as such, and let the mods convert it to a comment. |

Control to select (not open) a file on windows Could you possibly give examples where "browse" is common usage not in webforms? |

Control to select (not open) a file on windows @NickBedford that is not a file picker. That is a textbox with an ellipsis next to it. |
