Do progress bars help completion rates? One note - the first paper cited (Matzat, et al) finds that progress bars generally negatively affected completion rates on surveys or had no impact. With some caveats they say that it may be preferable to leave the indicator out completely. Worth a read. |

Usefulness of on-site text resize tools Good feedback -- placement of these is a concern, I think. I've often seen these text size tools lumped in the with print/email functions as tiny little icons. Not easy to see for someone who already is having problems reading tiny text. Definitely don't think we can rely on anyone using the "zoom" tools within browser. I barely remember how to use those. |

What is the best way to display 15-50 choices when most users will select all and not know meanings, but some users will want specific choices? To be clear, will they only be selecting one from the list or can multiple answers be selected? |

Best practice for Anonymous Donation forms? Thanks John - as you said it's particularly essential in this case, when we're asking them to give money. Beyond making it a better experience for donors, with every extra hoop we make them jump through, the # of donations is likely to decrease. It's worth spending the time/money to do these well. |

Should validating an email automatically sign someone into an application? Thanks for pointing that out Roger. Yes, keeping it in the same session would IMO make #2 worthwhile. Not all developers have implemented that as I've found out. |
