Yes, the original question was asked in the context of language read from left-to-right. But looking at the answer again my feeling is, that the same (or better reverse) would apply to right-to-left languages. What do you think?

Just keep in mind that a seperate header object would probably effect the accessibility (in HTML it would probably break it for screen readers)

@Keavon I mean text automatically scrolling thorugh the screen. Some TV news stations still do this (at least here in Germany).
