For screen reader users, we'll be using aria-selected.

comment What to use - “Login” or “Sign in”? What about both?
Can you back up your assertions that users might consider log in vs sign in to be different, and more or less formal or enticing or etc than the other?

This doesn't appear to answer the question, even if it is a useful way to approach the design discussed.

comment What is the best way to arrange chinese words on a menu
Indeed; why does this have pictures of print menus and yet tags for navigation menus? (And frankly it's rare I see a navigation menu organised by alphabetical order...)

@EleonoraZucconi That's a big improvement. Thanks for that edit.

SE isn't really for gathering opinions, see our don't ask page on the help center.

comment When did UX start being called UX?
The Elements of User Experience (as featured on the author's Wikipedia page were released as a diagram in 2000, and a book in 2002. The Elements codified a lot of the vocabulary for user experience design. So there are at least examples of this being around since before 2005. (Unless I've missed something major about a definition shift in 2005!)

comment When designing for desktop, is it still appropriate to design for standard pixel density?
Confusion which may be deliberate on W3School's part - through deliberate action or inaction. (More on that at w3fools)

comment Gender neutral photos for users who don't yet have a profile picture
Neither of the images in your bullet points work. They both give us access denied errors. Please upload those images to Stack Exchange hosting, rather than hotlinking off another site. That has the added benefit that we don't have to worry about those images disappearing next week whenever those hosts don't need them any longer.

comment Credits or Money?
FYI regarding the "$1,00" to "$1.00" correction: several countries uses commas for the decimal mark instead of a dot; this wasn't incorrect. (Where some would write a thousand point twelve as "1,000.12" they would write it as "1.000,12")
