profile for Annonomus Person on Stack Exchange, a network of free, community-driven Q&A sites

I am a self-taught hobbyist and geek at heart who loves learning new skills and inferencing my Arduino to anything I can get my hands on.

I participated in the first Arduino.SE Area51 site launch, which failed. I got to 800 reputation there. I am now on the second Arduino site and am part of the Provisional Team of ♦s.

Contact info/links:

Did I help you? A quick upvote and/or accept is payment enough (fake internet points are valuable). If I prevented you from being fired (or similar), consider giving a few bucks to a charity in my name and email me about it.

Love my awesome screenshots? (How could you not?) Download Open source Greenshot for Windows and create your own shiny images.

Incorrect information? Comment on my post/email me and I'll be happy to correct it. I love learning and won't get mad.

My joke about my username:

I didn't want to sign up at first for an account, that's why I put "Anonymous Person" in the text box with "your name." I did end up signing up, but with a quick search I found out there were others with the same spelling, so I modified it to make me unique. I am a extreme grammar "freak," but I prefer uniqueness over a few letters spelled correctly. Also, I'm gaining much better SEO this way. I couldn't think of a better name. Tip: I don't really have a vivid imagination. :)

Actually, it stands for something really long that I can't remember... I should have it written down somewhere here... ohh plans for taking over the world??? Hides paper in desk drawer...

No Arduinos hurt in the making of this profile.

Formerly Annonomus Person, but after being annoyed gracefully persuaded by a few users and mods, I decided to embrace my inner penguin and change my name.

comment notify user of not being able to update array
@Maximilian I suggest you go and disconnect your iPhone (if you have one) from WiFi/3G. It shows you an error, but it leaves all the previous emails there. I don't think that's bad: the user has been warned and they can still access content.

comment Do I really need a login button?
-1. It is a security flaw to have AJAX verification. 1.) it makes it really hard to detect brute force attacks when a user could just be typing their password in 2.) you should have some sort of delay in your code for a fraction of a second to make brute force attacks hard to do. Not to mention, a user may think it's a different password and keep typing when they're already logged in, perhaps typing a few characters into important data.

Adding a grayed out button might also work to make it look "disabled."

comment Why is the drag area usually limited to the “title bar”?
edit: Dragging the window by holding your right mouse button could work! No, some applications like MS paint (gag) use the right button while dragging. Paint uses the right button to draw with the background color. As far as a little delay, that will only make it harder to use if the user wants to move it a few extra pixels and I've seen people hold the right click button for 2-3 seconds. The best thing IMHO would just be a bigger title bar with a little margin that it registers as dragging when you're "close enough."
