comment Can't properly redesign GUI to get better user experience
A lot of questions coming your way: 1) Why is the user using this program? What happens before and after this screen? Is there anything you can automate (for example, get the coordinates from looking up the address)? What are the specific fields that you are collecting? Is there any field that has to be entered before another can be filled out? General feedback: Use a single column layout to make the order of the steps apparent. Code as much as you can so your user does not need to put in as much information. Don't repeat information. Don't hide information entered.

comment help with upload function
A couple questions: 1) Does the user primarily interact with binders or the system directory when using the rest of this application? 2) Is the system directory shared by all users or does each have their own directory? Please give an example of what the user would use the binder for and the system directory for, besides uploading.

@rachoune, I understand, it is just difficult to speak about things like this so generally because they tend to be so context specific. I appreciate it!

@rach oune, if you could provide more details about your specific situation, we could be more helpful. But, with what you've said, it sounds as if just a generic pop-over would do fine. click delete confirmation dialogue confirm intention try something like this sweet alert library.

This is a great answer. @rach oune, is this not something that a sub menu like the above could solve? The small arrow there is great at breaking the consistency to say "hey something is different here." And then it uses a standard sub menu that a user is more familiar with in terms of interaction rather than a pop-up.

Exactly, don't be consistent until it hurting the user. By all means, break it if that's what the user needs. Do you have a definition of a seamless workflow, edgarator? How does it differ from consistency?
