I program stuff, and would do it better if I knew anything.

Why does the email subject appear before the body when composing an email? Reading is not irrelevant. The two go hand in hand and it makes sense to compose in the order it's going to be read. @MaX the fact of composition is that you jump back and forth, even within the body. It's part of good writing. So it just makes sense to put the ordering of the composition roughly in order with how it's read: subject 1st. |

Timer for undos (aka ctrl + z for pointing devices) Short so no answer, but I think in standard use UNDO is unlimited. The Gmail case is an exception because there comes a point where the message cannot be revoked. The workflow of email requires that once it is sent(it's not really sent in gmail until the timer hits 0) it is no longer in the control of the emailer. So an undo becomes impossible. So if you can undo the action allow it forever, if you can't give it a timer until the action is then performed and finalized. |

Display comments order - best practice Correct me if I'm wrong, but Facebook does oldest to newest, since it's supposed to resemble a conversation. Although, I guess if you look at their newsfeed, it's newest(this is actually 'most recently interacted with', not necessarily chronologically newest) first, but comments on individual items are oldest first. Again it depends on what you want to emphasize. |

Should users be able to zoom in a responsive webdesign? The first bullet point alone is enough to allow zooming. I don't care how pretty your layout is. If I want a better look at an image, give me the ability to do so. I hate when an image is fixed and I can't zoom in on it. |

How do you show a locked slider? I don't see why disabling it with a message to the side saying this feature is only available to premium users doesn't get the point across. Doing anything else adds confusion and doesn't follow the standard, and now intuition of controls, that everyone has for internet based controls. |

Links inside a dropdown Should that say "Comment on content"? I know it was a quick mockup, just thought I'd point it out just in case though. |

Are hover states necessary? @DA01 - You learn something new everyday. Well at least I did. |

Are hover states necessary? @DA01 I actually use Chrome on my iPad. But cool to know that Safari does it to. |

Are hover states necessary? Imgur is the site that comes to mind immediately, but they use a single tap to bring about the hover state, then a second tap to click through. I like that they recognize the hover state, but I'm also annoyed that I have to click twice to get where I'm going. |
