comment Best way of displaying how crowded your favourite pubs are
Do you think pub managers will tell truth? I think everybody will display 90% telling 'we are very popular but we have some room for you'. Unless all pubs are from one owner network, maybe. Of course this is not technical aspect.

comment What is the best way to let the user select a distance for a layer?
@BDD I think that it is not so good to serve two purposes - it's not obvious. I think you have functionality to edit distance for already added layer. So, click is ADD LAYER action and then EDIT LAYER action should be used for setting distance - user will use the same functionality for the same action.

Is this is a singe icon for each item (like ?) or they are different icons? What is going to happen after pressing this icon?

comment On mobile, how should I present a post that has both comments and a main media component requiring a large thumbnail?
And what if comments section is empty? User must make some action to view that. I mean that it's good to inform user in some way that post has comments on post page. Also displaying number of comments will indicate interest to the post in general. Touchable comments icon to the right of post title will do the think IMO. Also, touchable post title leading to comments section is better than white space I think. You can change post title style to indicate it has comments for example.

Twitter app for iOS is very different from your proposed layout and can hardly be analogue for it. My question is what if post doesn't have any comment? Another question is how user will navigate from image view to comments view?

comment Web - Displaying data in a table
If you are using Excel metaphor, why not to mimic Excel Normal view or Google Docs Spreadsheet Normal view? They both have the same or very close layout and behavior.

comment How can users take part in sorting of articles that need changes in a website?
After writing this answer I found great illustration of one of possible solutions mentioned. It is so nice that I place this link with please (not affiliated) - medium.com/@lucabenazzi/…

Single radio button? While 'usual' checkbox is square, true/false checkbox is round.

comment Selecting a multiline text from multiple predefined ones
I think that it's hard to make decision which text to select if you need to make selection based on whole text - you need to read each of N option of 600 letters and make decision if you really need one. So, is it possible for your system to use short one-word descriptions for texts? In this case you can change your task taking in mind this ability. Did you make mockup showing your several 600 letters options with real text in it? This can help to check if it's ok for users. Or you can combine both option presentations in your implementation.

comment Dealing with clutter on user profile activity feeds
In addition, I think you should make meaningful data more visible - maybe the same font size as another text, but in any way icons should be placed into shadow. Note that now they are like letters in a text and make it different to notice. Make icons smaller and more transparent for example.

Happy if it helped. I also like the option which offered by ColdCat in his comment to the question and which could be combined with option you are using.

@SurjithSM: I'm sorry that were typos, I corrected them and update my answer. SurjithSM noticed that Total Net was %1.50.

comment Helping users understand that two, and only two options must be selected
@Morawski I agree with you but also I think that we have no incorrect answers here - they all will work, so the main task is to choose more suitable for particular situation. As for me I like this control because it has more compact size than listbox as well as it's pretty informative.
