How to get a consistent “perceived” color on a transparent BG? Tried it with both normal and screen (which should both be the same with 0x4cffffff) |

How to get a consistent “perceived” color on a transparent BG? @Charles Technical solution, magic solution. Something like that. If your technical solution is minimally cpu intensive in Flash than I'm all for it. |

How do you define interactions in a mockup? Update: I tried using Catalyst. It's a complete waste. It's actually less useful than Flash Builder's design mode in my opinion. You can only use it to convert artwork into components, not an application. There's no way to visually make Groups or Containers. |

How to get a consistent “perceived” color on a transparent BG? Your edit is interesting. I did what you said in an example, but the results are the same--differing luminosities instead of an X% luminosity (check my edit). |

How to get a consistent “perceived” color on a transparent BG? Haha thanks for the real-world example. The problem is putting a layer of white paint would lose my cool transparent look. |

How to get a consistent “perceived” color on a transparent BG? See, that's the problem. The "percentage I want to lighten it" varies based off the color behind it--which I can't control. So what I'm asking is if there's a way to get a fixed perceived luminosity on varying background colors with some blend mode hackery. |

How do you define interactions in a mockup? @Lèse I haven't used Catalyst yet either, although I suppose I should give it a try at some point--me also being a developer, I'm entirely scared of the code that it "generates" for use in Flash Builder (roots from Dreamweaver's generated html/css markup). |

How do you define interactions in a mockup? Thanks for the write up. Very comprehensive answer. Although I am primarily a Flex/Flash developer, going straight to a deliverable has some great benefits. |
