comment Order of user operations when creating a graphical chart
I suggest selection of chart first, as this may dictate the number of axes/scales the user is expected to provide.

comment Why did Windows add a pointer trail feature?
@uxxu You state in the question 'The pointer itself is extremely annoying'. Later you say 'Nowhere did i say the cursor was annoying'. Is the pointer somehow different to the cursor? I suggest making this clear before berating others.

Please qualify what you mean by 'stupid', preferably in a less hostile tone.

comment What UX is appropriate for alternative voting on a PC and Mobile device?
+1 I was about to suggest drag+drop reordering :) Further development ideas could include 'move to position x'.

comment Is a dummy button an appropriate way to show that a box is clickable?
I would question what the user's expectation would be upon clicking on the text/image there. Personally, if there is a button present and I were using a non-touchscreen device, I would expect nothing to happen unless I click the button (and only the button).

Voted up because it definitely adds to the discussion, but my personal instinct upon seeing this is that the green background is highlighting the price as opposed to indicating that it is clickable (dropshadow notwithstanding).

@paulolarini - there are a few different options / workflows that would be better posted as an answer as opposed to a comment. Bear with me - I shall briefly outline a few suggestions.

comment Handling the branching/switching between incomplete tasks
@Roddy: As per my suggested edit, I believe that the OP is asking how to handle switching to a new task whilst the first is only partially completed (ie adding a person to have an appointment when a partially-created appointment exists).
