comment How do you come up with a 'new' interaction as a designer?
To continue on Pull To Refresh: It also feels natural because you are trying to "scroll to the top" which means "the latest content". It makes sense with what the user is seeking.

comment Am I too late to become a user experience designer
I had been working in the computer industry for 15 years before I realized I had been "doing" UX without knowing it was a "thing" :) When I read Cooper's "Inmates", I decided to formally pursue UX full time. It's never too late!

Thanks for the great comment! Do you have any suggestions as to how that could be done in a workshop? It's tough to get people to go out to a women's shoe store or sports store during a workshop... :D

comment What is a great way to display a user's email address in a small amount of horizontal space (in a user card)?
Kudos for the well prepared mock-ups.

comment Why use paper prototyping, besides saving time?
When I think of forgetting about constraints. I think about how something that provides you with buttons and checkboxes "forces" you to use buttons and checkboxes... Whereas with pen and paper, I'm free to imagine anything that will best help the user accomplish their goals.

Good comment. Remember Mr. Rams: Good design is as little design as possible.

comment Who invented the blinking cursor
That's interesting, because I remember reading Tim Mott and Larry Tesler talking about making the cursor in Gypsy blink so it wouldn't be mistaken for a capital "I". That doesn't mean they invented it, though :)

comment Accessible custom scrollbars?
I guess I was thinking of a user study, ideally with videos of users confused by custom scrollbars.

Does anyone have some research that this person can use to try to convince the "Powers That Be" that this is a bad idea?
