UX Designer who just graduated from Georgia Tech!

I also draw a comic, Last Res0rt, that ends up being a test bed for all those things I learn about good design.

I'm currently looking for a full-time UX Designer role -- if you're keen, check out the the rest of my resume and let me know you're interested so we can discuss things further!

comment Do user experience practitioners ever have to worry about code?
Someone needs to tell me where all these jobs where I don't have to code and can just focus on "pure" UX are. I haven't found one yet!

Yah, blurry eyes would see all the same shape (i.e. a blot in the center). In the examples I showed above, they all have a distinct "envelope".

A few extra notes: I'm asking just about the visual appearance -- a couple folks brought up the idea of swipe navigation, which is a secondary question. Also, I'd like to keep things to a single site, which I realize sacrifices a certain amount of making things perfect for either desktop or mobile. Part of the reason for making the site responsive to begin with is because I hate this idea of having two separate sites with separate functionality and separate content just that much.

I remember looking into the swipe functionality for previous/next navigation for mobile / tablet use -- can I do that to navigate between pages, though? Most of the examples I saw of this functionality so far seem inconclusive. I still need to include some kind of visual navigation, though, so this is more of a nice enhancement for touchscreen users rather than a complete solution.

comment How many images should a slideshow carousel rotate automatically?
It's being downvoted because saying "The answer is X because Y said so" is a crappy answer. If you want to claim it reduces load time, say so. If you want to claim users won't stick around long enough to get past the first three images, say so. Appealing to a higher authority is just passing the buck -- you may as well claim Pi is 3 because the Bible says so.
