comment Which is better option Create/Save for Activity and Circle?
So, a user picks a category and an event date and time and he not only creates an event but he also automatically becomes a member of a circle which is named after that category?! Is that so? The definition of a "circle" is too vague at the moment for us. It would help if you can expand!

By "Activity", I am guessing you mean an event, right? And what kind of "Circle" are you talking about?

Although "New" is inviting, "Add" is more direct as well as inviting!

comment Tab order for previous/next buttons in a form
Point to be noted here could be that even in the Windows XP dialog box, if I remember correctly, and I have done those installations hundreds of times, "next" used to be the active button on first launch and tab order would play from left to right such that "back" button would be last one in order.

comment new type of hours input
I am doubtful of its usability. It has a slight learning curve and is not a common practice to fill in time. What's wrong with simply giving two textfields for filling in hours and minutes? It is simple. It is traditional. It is usable. It saves any extra effort from the user (in a non-core task of just filling in his time).

comment How patient are users at wait dialogs?
That will also depend upon how attractive/interesting/reliable/visible/clear that waiting indicator is! ;)

@wcdomy - They are supposed to work in tandem. It can be of great help if user doesn't remember a word like "maserati" and type in just "mas" or navigate using the bottom provided links by clicking "m", "ma", and then "mas" to find "maserati" eventually. He may not remember the word absolutely, but when he sees a limited list showing him the only available options, he will be sure of where he is going.
