comment Why we need 'county' on UK address forms
@EricStoltz. Many people will think of their entire address as one piece of intormation, even if it's entered into multiple separate form input fields. If there's no room for the county, they may be concerned (even more so here in Ireland).

comment What is the most readable way to display a U.S. phone number?
I believe that France originally used 19. They've now switched to 00, but I think 19 still works. @PaulHargreaves.

comment What is the most readable way to display a U.S. phone number?
@WoodrowBarlow. The "+1" means "whatever your country uses to indicate that you're making an international call". For most countries, that's 00. The North American Numbering plan (USA, Canada, Mexico, ...) uses 001, for some reason.

comment Why don't toilet doors also latch and change their status when closed?
As weird as your American gappy toilet doors are, I thought ye had them only on cubicles, not on single-occupancy full toilets (i.e., rooms which also contain a handbasin).

comment Layout for on-screen hexadecimal keyboard
These are alphanumeric booking references: no calculations are being done, and in the minds of the users, they aren't numbers at all. As such, any association between F and 16 is purely in the mind of the programmer: there is no need to show this to the user. It would only confuse them.

comment Can the “$” symbol be safely considered as universal when making a graphic depicting money?
If you want to combine currency symbols, ¥€$ (YES) is one way to do so.

@Crissov. One through twelve in American English; one to twelve in the civilized world.
