A qualified chemist who somehow drifted into web development. I've learned (to a greater or lesser degree of accuracy) PHP and JavaScript, and would like to learn something completely different for the sake of it. I'm a weirdo who actually enjoys reading (and sometimes writing) technical documentation.

comment Why do coins in some countries not display their denomination?
The worst one is the US dime, which is confusing even if you do speak English. What on Earth is a dime?

comment Flight Passenger Experience: 1 window per seat row
This would be a better question if it focussed on trains, where many do match seats to windows, while many others (Virgin Pedolinos, for example) don't. This divergence of experience is noteworthy, and could make a good basis for a question. See also area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/81747/….

revised What is the least ambiguous way to select a date range?
"avoids the user to do" was very weird phrasing, so I tidied it up a bit. And other minor tweaks.

revised Is it default that an English version is always Title Case, while other languages like Dutch don't use Title Case?
Added image description. Fixed inaccurate use of "i.e." (it does not mean the same as "e.g."). Other minor grammatical tweaks.

comment Multiple vs single field capture for phone number form input
Surely a UK phone number is written as one of the following: +44 (0)20 444 4444, +44 20 444 4444, or (020) 444 4444. Your example seems to be a hybrid.

comment Should I empty the wrongly filled fields or leave as user has filled after validation message?
@sapi. Clearing passwords is a security concern: The incorrect password is probably only slightly incorrect, or is a password for another account. The server should never publish passwords, so the new copy of the page should not contain the password. (This may not apply if the validation is done client side or with Ajax.)
