comment In a modification flow, should I allow user to delete the form while editing?
Sometimes I may want to recreate something from scratch instead of editing all the fields and often this comes to my mind while I'm editing something :) so it's pretty OK to put Delete at the Edit screen I think.

comment How to show recommended fields in the form
Always try to simplify things. The ideal situation is to show only required fields, the less ideal is to show required and optional fields and your situation is even harder for users to understand. Why should she fill recommended field? What are the benefits? In my opinion you should try to avoid "recommended" option and merge fields into "required" or "optional" groups. This will not only simplify your UI but also make it more clear for users.

comment How can I make the relationship between rows in two tables more obvious to the user?
For the shown example two dimensional table is the best solution I think: glui.me/?i=ful3fwvxhpe1lvv/table.png

comment How to best deal with slow page load
@AndrewG add your own database at your own server and put user data in it (i.e. get the data from the remote server, analyze it and store in your own database for quick access)
