How can I justify UX processes? Which is why you need to test where it really matters and that is in launched service. You have no way of knowing whether the users you have in user test is going to be able to undertand you interface either. To the extent that you can test it before launch your experience is enough. |

OK/Cancel on left/right? zzzzBov who are you to decide whether people should use a computer unsupervised. Consistency btw. IS usability. |

Resource/advice for deciding a design process? It doesn't really matter how you choose to interpret my hammer example. It's supposed to mean what I wrote and the basic point is that. When testing wireframes on normal users you are really not testing where it matters. |

Visualization ideas for progress on a project with thousands of steps? I would like to second Mart's comment. There simply isn't enough real-estate in pixels to plot it properly. |

Light source direction There is a gradient to the buttons that is why they are darker in the top. I am just trying to show you how different shadows affect the overall look. Think about it as casting light to the shapes rather than the entire asset. If I was to do that then I would have to make every single button different since they would all be in relative distance and angle from the sun. |

Multiple file selection for web file upload I think this zurb.com/article/515/podcast-of-julie-zhuos-talk-on-how-facebo pretty much answers your question. Read the article below the podcast. |
